An environment where UK veterans’ needs are understood and met.
In July 2024, having sold a care home in Ealing, St David's (1918) Charitable Trust was established, investing the residual financial resources to produce growth in order to allow the Trust to continue to deliver its founding charitable objectives. Its mission is to promote and enhance the health and wellbeing of HM Forces veterans and their families through grant giving where the benefit is both needed and greatest.
Our history: St David’s Home for Disabled Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen was founded in 1918, its primary objective being to provide respite and care for ex-Service men and women. Based in a former Royal residence in the London Borough of Ealing, the Home was established by Lady Anne Kerr, daughter of the 14th Duke of Norfolk, in memory of her son 2/Lt David Anselm Kerr of the 2nd Battalion Royal Scots who was killed on 13 October 1914. Since its founding the Home provided continuous care in Ealing for over 100 years. The Home was sold to Gold Care Ltd in July 2024.
St David’s (1918) Charitable Trust is a registered charity, no. 1204445 and a company no. 14964611, registered in England & Wales at Companies House.
